3/4 inch Baltic Birch plywood, beeswax polish
The First was my first attempt at carving plywood to experiment with depth and topography of the material. Carving using a Dremel and rotary carving burrs, the plywood goes from a solid, uniform surface to one of texture and variation. Candlelight emphases the peaks and valleys in the carved design.
